Recreation Committee

• Committee comprised of at least seven (7) members
• Terms run two (2) years
• The Recreation Committee meets at the Borough Building on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
• This committee is responsible for:
  • Providing input, suggestions, recommendations, and strategic planning for Borough-sponsored recreational events;
  • Creating subcommittees of volunteers to plan, set up, and volunteer at various Borough-sponsored recreational events;
  • Cooperating with other public agencies to aid and assist in coordinating recreation activities and to otherwise promote recreation throughout the community;
  • Carrying out the directions of Borough Council and the Borough Manager and, subject to the directions of Council and the Borough Manager, to make recommendations related to certain recreational activities and the use of all playgrounds, parks, fields, pools, and recreation centers that are owned, operated, or maintained by the Borough.
