Zoning Hearing Board

  • Three-member board
  • Terms run three (3) years
  • The Zoning Hearing Board meets as needed at the Borough Building the fourth Thursday of each month excluding November and December at 7:00 PM for the public session with a closed session held at 6:30 PM. Meetings are held only if there are items on the agenda.
  • This board serves as an independent adjudicator in matters pertaining to the interpretation of the Borough Zoning Ordinance. A case heard before the Board would deal with issues such as:
    • Challenges to the validity of a land use ordinance.
    • Appeals from the determination of the Zoning Officer in regard to the interpretation of the Borough Zoning Ordinance.
    • Receiving applications for variances or special exceptions from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance.
